Lead Product Designer

Job Description

Melio is seeking a Lead Product Designer to drive end-to-end design strategy and execution. The Lead Product Designer will ensure solutions are user-centered, accessible, and aligned with business objectives. They will lead a team of designers and partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex financial concepts into clear, intuitive experiences. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on design, research, and data-informed decisions.Role involves:

• Guiding the full design process from discovery to high-fidelity UI.
• Partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Content Designers.
• Mentoring and developing designers.
• Leveraging research and data to inform design decisions.
• Championing design thinking and advocating for the user.
• Building and evolving the design system.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in product design.
• Experience with sophisticated B2B products in technical or financial contexts.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and balancing quality, speed, and experimentation.
• Passion for understanding user needs and delivering customer-focused experiences.
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong portfolio.
• Understanding of the product life cycle.
