Principal Product Manager, Orbit

Job Description

Interface.ai, a leading AI provider for banks and credit unions, is seeking a Principal Product Manager for its Orbit platform. This role involves leading the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Orbit's product suite, which includes Smart Transactions, Smart Discovery, and Smart Conversions. The Principal Product Manager will define how millions of users engage with their financial institutions conversationally.

The role involves end-to-end product leadership, from feature design to scaled rollouts. The candidate will define and drive the product portfolio, design for conversational intelligence, and drive day-to-day execution. They will also build intuition through research, shape the chat and call experience, enable self-serve product models, and build with an AI-first philosophy.

What this role involves:

• Defining and driving the product portfolio for Orbit's core products.
• Designing chat-native features for multi-turn flows and personalized outcomes.
• Developing PRDs and collaborating with engineering, design, and AI research teams.
• Leading competitive analysis, customer interviews, and usability studies.
• Enabling users to escalate to live conversations within the chat widget.
• Promoting in-product configurability for administrators.
• Collaborating with ML teams to iterate on routing, personalization, and automation performance.

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of experience in product management.
• Experience building B2C products with high user interaction.
• Background in software engineering, ML, or systems architecture.
• Experience working on chat interfaces or knowledge search/retrieval products.
• Prior success in enterprise software, SaaS, or regulated verticals.
• Ability to lead product strategy and execute fast-paced delivery.
• Skill in using prompt engineering techniques.
