Job Description
Astera Labs is seeking a Senior Electrical Validation Engineer to develop and execute electrical validation tests for parametric device performance. This role involves certifying product conformance to customer requirements. The engineer will formulate validation plans, automate IC and board testing, root-cause unexpected behavior, report results, and ensure robustness.
Role Involves:
- Developing and executing electrical validation tests.
- Automating the testing of ICs and board products.
- Designing experiments to root-cause unexpected behavior.
- Reporting results and specification compliance.
- Working with internal customers to quantify margins.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred).
- ≥2 years experience supporting or developing complex SoC/silicon products.
- Experience with debug and bring-up of complicated SoCs with high-speed interfaces (PCIe/Ethernet).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of key, high-speed design blocks (PLLs, CTLE, DFE, Tx EQ, PAM4).
- Strong Python scripting and coding ability.
- Proficiency using high-speed lab equipment (BERT, Oscilloscope, VNA).
