Job Description
The Financial Times is seeking an Editorial Growth and Engagement Journalist to join their New York newsroom. This role focuses on enhancing the reach and impact of the company's journalism through social media and search engine optimization (SEO). The successful candidate will plan and execute social media coverage of global news events, provide SEO recommendations to editors and reporters, and optimize content for search engines.Role involves:
  • Producing and posting content across social media channels.
  • Optimizing stories for search.
  • Providing insights on content performance to editors.
  • Developing ideas for innovating social publishing.
  • Collaborating with editors and reporters.
Requirements:
  • Strong news judgment and headline writing skills.
  • Experience in social media and SEO.
  • Proficiency in using Google Trends and other SEO tools.
  • Experience managing social media channels.
  • Ability to write clearly and accurately.
