Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join their Space Systems team in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves designing, developing, and validating RF communications and navigation systems for Rocket Lab missions. The Senior RF Engineer will report to the RF Development Team Lead and collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless ground-to-space communications.Role involves:
  • Defining, designing, and developing advanced RF systems.
  • Collaborating with Avionics, Flight Software, and other teams.
  • Leading RF architecture trades and system analysis.
  • Ensuring seamless ground-to-space communications.
  • Validating systems with rigorous test plans.
  • Supporting production and providing expert insights.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Communications, or RF) or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment.
  • 8+ years’ experience developing RF communication systems.
  • Expertise in RF system design.
  • Strong knowledge of modulation and channel coding.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in creating technical documentation.
  • Proactive risk management skills.
  • Dedicated mentor.
