Job Description
Backbase is seeking a Technical Product Manager to enhance developer efficiency on their Engagement Banking Platform. This role focuses on Web and Mobile Developer Kits, emphasizing non-functional requirements and AI tooling. The Technical Product Manager will collaborate with engineering teams to create comprehensive developer kits, including tools, guides, and SDKs. They will drive developer acceleration using AI while adhering to industry standards. Backbase is a leader in digital banking, empowering financial institutions to accelerate innovation and deliver seamless, customer-centric experiences.Role involves:
  • Defining and driving the Developer Kit roadmap.
  • Leveraging technical metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Facilitating collaboration and alignment with engineering teams.
  • Managing Developer Kit components and documentation.
  • Gathering and analyzing developer feedback.
  • Conducting technical audits and assessments.
  • Communicating technical updates and best practices.
  • Advocating for Developer Kit adoption.
  • Exploring and integrating AI tooling.
  • Focusing on Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
  • Adhering to Industry Standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical product management or software development.
  • Strong background in software development principles, API design, and frontend technologies.
  • Experience working with mobile (Android, iOS) and web (Angular) development platforms.
  • Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with agile development teams.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Understanding of industry standards in web and mobile development.
