Job Description
Chainguard is seeking a SLED Sales Engineer to serve as the technical lead within their territory. This role involves managing all technical aspects of the sales process, from product positioning and demonstrations to competitive analysis and value validation. The SLED Sales Engineer will cultivate relationships with customers, prospects, and partners.
Role Involves:
- Partnering with the SLED sales and marketing teams to develop and implement account plans and brand awareness campaigns.
- Acquiring new customers and expanding the existing customer base.
- Owning all technical aspects of sales opportunities.
- Conducting product demonstrations and Proof of Value (POV) engagements.
- Participating in marketing initiatives such as webinars, meetups, and conferences.
- Advocating for customer needs within Chainguard.
Requirements:
- Experience working with the state, local, and education (SLED) market.
- Familiarity with accreditation and security policies like FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or HIPAA.
- Significant experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc.), container vulnerability scanning, and AppSec.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Must be located in the TOLA region.
