Job Description
Fetch is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their Financial Operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments and managing corporate Travel and Expense reimbursements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and sharp analytical skills to improve AP processes and uphold compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Role involves:
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Leading, training, and supporting AP staff to meet departmental goals and deadlines.
- Maintaining and updating vendor records; resolving payment inquiries and discrepancies promptly.
- Administering T&E policies; reviewing & approving employee expense reports for compliance.
- Identifying and executing enhancements to streamline AP processes and increase team efficiency.
- Ensuring adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing AP-related JEs and reconciliations; supporting the financial close process.
- Ensuring accurate and timely preparation and filing of 1099s and other tax documents.
- Providing documentation and support external audits.
- Overseeing AP systems and tools; collaborating with IT and finance teams on system updates and integrations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting/finance role.
- 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in an accounting department.
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, general accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Ramp).
- Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Understanding of tax regulations, vendor management, and financial reporting may be a plus.
