Job Description
Fortra is seeking a Director, Global Tax to manage all areas of the tax function globally. The Director will lead tax strategy, oversee tax provision, sales tax, and local/statutory tax processes, drive tax compliance globally, and ensure accurate tax financial reporting.

What this role involves:
  • Leading tax planning and strategy initiatives.
  • Managing the preparation of the income tax provision for annual financial statements.
  • Overseeing tax compliance filings globally.
  • Directing tax activities with third-party tax providers.
  • Identifying opportunities to consolidate providers or reduce reliance on third parties.
  • Leading global tax initiatives, including R&D tax credits and transfer pricing strategy.
  • Leading all M&A activities from a tax perspective.
  • Interfacing with tax authorities.
  • Researching and implementing new applicable tax requirements.
  • Serving as an advisor to the company on all tax matters.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with professional designation as a plus.
  • 10+ years of tax experience in corporate and international taxes.
  • Strong technical expertise across a wide range of tax areas.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Mix of public accounting and prior corporate tax department experience.
  • Strong management and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate within various Accounting ERPs and tax software programs.
  • Ability to organize, manage and work effectively to accomplish multiple tasks while working independently.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, consistently growing and changing work environment.
