Fortra is seeking a Renewals Specialist to join its Customer Operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring customer retention through a customer-focused billing strategy and strong product knowledge. The Renewals Specialist will manage the renewal process from start to finish, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide seamless customer support. Role Involves:
  • Managing the renewal process, including quoting and contract facilitation.
  • Ensuring all renewal activities adhere to approval guidelines.
  • Providing customers with renewal proposals 90 days prior to renewal date.
  • Communicating changes in ARR against planned renewal bookings.
  • Negotiating special pricing and validating at the point of order.
  • Maintaining accurate customer data in CRM systems.
  • Providing customer service via telephone and email.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams for customer support.
  • Managing attrition for assigned customers.
  • Coordinating with departments to save renewals and resolve customer issues.
  • Maintaining accurate health/risk status for assigned customers.
  • Assisting Accounts Receivable on aging invoices.
  • Contacting customers to identify upsell opportunities.
  • Assisting with Export license requests.

Requirements:
  • Minimum two years customer service experience or equivalent.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to calculate pricing, including margins and discounts.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, and reliable.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional disposition with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Creative problem-solver.
  • Basic negotiation skills.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and complexity.
  • Basic knowledge of internal reporting tools.
