Job Description

Nothing, a London-based company known for its innovative tech products, is seeking a Senior Software Product Designer. Nothing's debut smartphone, Phone (1), earned Time Magazine’s prestigious Best Inventions for Innovative Smartphone Design award. The company has released five audio products, five smartphones, and two smart wearables under the Nothing and CMF by Nothing brands. The Senior Designer will contribute to creating new experiences across mobile OS and native apps, reporting to the design lead and collaborating with a global team.

Role Involves:

  • Ideating, creating, and delivering design specs for implementation.
  • Contributing to design systems.
  • Collaborating with designers, engineers, and project managers.
  • Co-developing apps and software features with global engineers.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the target audience.
  • Thinking strategically about product development and defining new product features.
  • Presenting ideas and solutions to senior management.
  • Testing and validating ideas using prototypes with real users.
  • Providing feedback to improve products and the team.
  • Mentoring junior designers.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in human-centered design processes and interaction design principles.
  • Advanced visual design skills and expertise in modern design tools like Figma.
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Protopie, Origami, or similar.
  • Good understanding of motion principles and ability to implement compelling animations.
  • Basic programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Basic 3D software knowledge is a plus.
  • Passion for creating great products.
  • Open-mindedness, humility, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with changing environments.
