Job Description
LA28 is seeking a Manager, Venue Transportation to support the refinement, delivery, and operation of venue transportation plans across a subset of Games competition and non-competition venues. This role requires collaboration across LA28's functional areas and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Support Transportation aspects of the Event Operating Plan (EOP) development process.
- Support planning and delivery activities with the Security Functional Area and law enforcement agencies.
- Serve as a connection point between venue transportation operations and broader regional transportation operations.
- Support communications and outreach to local residents, businesses, and other parties.
- Support the expansion of the Venue Transportation team.
- Prepare meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and presentation decks.
- Participate in meetings with key public agency partners and Federal/State agency staff.
- Assist in providing progress reports and updates to LA28 leadership and/or the IOC.
- Conduct field reviews and participate in site testing and evaluations.
Requirements:
- A strong knowledge of transportation planning and operations.
- Direct experience managing, delivering, and/or operating transportation operations and/or special event traffic management systems at the local level.
- Strong business acumen with exceptional strategic thinking and project management skills.
- Aptitude for prioritizing and planning multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to gather and assess data and produce technical reports and/or slide decks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning or engineering, urban planning, or related field/equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in transportation planning, design, construction, operations, and/or maintenance.
