Support Engineer (System Engineer)

Job Description

Lineate is seeking a Support Engineer to join their 24x7 support team in their Georgian office. The Support Engineer will be responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and solving problems, as well as monitoring the health of servers, cloud services, and infrastructure. This role involves analyzing system logs, troubleshooting issues related to OS, containers, networks, and CI/CD services, and managing users and security policies. The ideal candidate will automate routine tasks, deploy and maintain services in a cloud environment, and administer CI/CD tools like Jenkins.Responsibilities include:

• Configuring, troubleshooting, and solving problems
• Monitoring the health of servers, cloud services, and infrastructure
• Analyzing system logs to identify root causes of incidents
• Troubleshooting issues related to OS, containers (Docker), networks, and CI/CD services
• Managing users, configuring permissions, and security policies
• Automating routine tasks using scripts
• Deploying, configuring, and maintaining services in a cloud environment
• Administering Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
• Automating application deployment and testing
• Deploying and maintaining containerized applications in Docker

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience in administration of Linux
• 1+ years experience in administration of Windows
• 1+ years of experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Base knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in at least one scripting language (Perl/Python/Go/Bash)
• Understanding basic's of monitoring systems
• Experience with GIT or similar
• Hands-on experience with Docker
• Experience maintaining an infrastructure
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
• Writing and reading skills in English
