Job Description

Smartling, a cloud-based, AI-enabled translation platform, is seeking a Support Engineer, Web Integrations to join its Professional Services team. The company was founded 14 years ago and is backed by Battery Ventures. In this role, the individual will focus on the ongoing maintenance of customer integrations based on Smartling’s GDN solution, ensuring they meet evolving customer needs.

The Support Engineer will interact with technical and business users, analyze requirements, and design scalable solutions. They will proactively manage process changes, provide best-in-class support, and lead troubleshooting sessions. The ideal candidate will articulate best practices, stay curious about new technologies, and contribute to process improvement.

Role Involves:

  • Gathering requirements from technical and business users.
  • Designing comprehensive and scalable solutions.
  • Managing process changes with stakeholders.
  • Providing best-in-class support and leading troubleshooting sessions.
  • Articulating best practices for integration and platform adoption.
  • Developing new tools and contributing to process improvement.

Requirements:

  • A third-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in a customer-facing role with a focus on technical solution design and implementation.
  • Applied experience with modern web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and REST APIs.
  • A highly analytical approach to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills for advising technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming/scripting language.
