Senior Software Platform Engineer

Job Description

Agile Space Industries is seeking a Senior Software Platform Engineer to develop data analysis tools for their propulsion engineering team. This role involves building infrastructure for engineers to access and analyze complex test data. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills and a deep understanding of data systems.Role involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable data platforms.
• Developing APIs and services for efficient data access.
• Building performance-optimized database solutions.
• Collaborating with propulsion engineers.
• Maintaining and improving existing data infrastructure.
• Mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Expertise in data processing languages (e.g., Python, Go, C++).
• Strong foundation in mathematics.
• Proficiency in data modeling and working with large datasets.
• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
