Job Description
Agile Space Industries is seeking an Additive Manufacturing (AM) Specialist to operate and maintain metal laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) 3D printers. The AM Specialist will be responsible for machine setup, build execution, post-processing, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, production teams, and quality control to uphold the highest standards in additive manufacturing production.
Role Involves:
- Setting up and operating metal laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) machines.
- Monitoring builds and troubleshooting printing defects.
- Conducting safe powder handling and support removal.
- Using metrology tools to measure and verify part quality.
- Performing routine maintenance on LPBF machines.
- Managing consumables inventory.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Collaborating with engineers on DFAM feedback.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience operating and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance skills.
- Proficiency with GD&T, metrology, and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
