Job Description
Notion is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its AI Automation and QA team in Hyderabad, India. This team is responsible for providing a fast, easy-to-use, and reliable platform for engineering teams to create end-to-end test cases. The Engineering Manager will oversee the creation of AI-based automations for better triaging, problem-solving, bug fixing, and incident response. They will also be responsible for delivering shared modules for end-to-end test cases, providing reliability guardrails, and collaborating with engineering teams during new feature development.
Role involves:
- Building and managing a diverse and inclusive team of AI Automation and QA engineers.
- Creating a healthy team environment that embodies Notion's values.
- Recruiting, coaching, and developing engineers.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure reliable releases.
- Reducing MTTD (mean time to detect) incidents.
- Facilitating planning and prioritization of work.
- Maintaining a high-quality bar for team deliverables.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in the software industry.
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience shipping high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with AI-based agents and assistants.
- Deep background in automation testing, manual testing, regression, and smoke testing.
- Passion for navigating new AI-based development and testing frameworks.
- Strong communication skills.
