General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

Job Description

IDEOlogy Health, a medical media company, is seeking a General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. This role involves guiding the organization through the regulatory landscape of pharmaceutical medical-legal review (MLR). The candidate will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with FDA, PhRMA, and ACCME guidelines.IDEALogy Health is part of The Lockwood Group.Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day legal matters, including contracting, healthcare fraud, regulatory, IP, privacy, and employment.
• Advise the executive team on legal topics relevant to the business.
• Stay current with industry regulations and laws.
• Navigate contracting matters, including reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Develop and implement an effective Compliance Program.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to business and compliance.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute Compliance Training.
• Support HR and employment matters.
• Manage external counsel budgets and relationships.

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, with AmLaw100 law firm and in-house experience preferred.
• Strong track record in identifying and solving legal issues in regulated industries.
• Experience navigating healthcare laws and regulations such as the Sunshine Act.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel >25%.
