Senior Engineer, Observability and Manageability

Job Description

Aerospike is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru. This role focuses on implementing management tools for operating their distributed database at scale. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing tools to monitor, manage, and administer clusters, users, and security, delivering a frictionless management tool suitable for enterprise IT environments both on-premises and in the cloud. Aerospike follows hybrid work model with expectation of two days work from office.Role involves:

• Developing tools to monitor, manage, and administer clusters.
• Managing users and security.
• Delivering frictionless management tools.
• Working within enterprise IT environments on-premises and in the cloud.

Requirements:

• 5+ years for Senior Software Engineer, 8+ years for Staff Software Engineer, 12+ years for Principal Software Engineer/Architect.
• Skills in any programming language like Python/Java/NodeJS/Golang.
• Experience with monitoring systems like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo.
• Experience with cloud monitoring systems like Newrelic, Datadog, Grafana Cloud.
• Experience with log analysis tools like Splunk, Logstash, Fluentd, Sumo logic.
• Experience with distributed tracing implementation using Open Telemetry, Jaeger.
• Background in SRE or DevOps.
