Job Description
Daybreak Health is seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist to join their team. The company is dedicated to providing mental health support to young people and values flexibility, efficiency, and collaboration. The Supervising Psychiatrist will play a crucial role in providing collaborative supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) in accordance with Wisconsin regulations and Daybreak's clinical model.
What this role involves:
- Providing collaborative supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPs).
- Conducting monthly 1:1 meetings with each assigned provider (typically via Zoom, ~2 hours/month total).
- Reviewing 5 charts/month per supervisee.
- Responding to clinical questions and prescription-related escalations during normal business hours.
- Executing the responsibilities outlined in your collaborating physician agreement.
- Providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and feedback to PMHNPs.
- Utilizing EHR systems effectively to document and review care.
Requirements:
- Wisconsin Medical License in Psychiatry (active & unrestricted)
- Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- DEA Certification
- At least 2 years of behavioral health experience, ideally working with youth
- Prior supervisory or collaborative practice experience preferred
- Strong EHR proficiency
- Demonstrated commitment to youth mental health access and equity
