Senior Manager, Tax

Job Description

Rent the Runway is seeking a Senior Manager of Tax to lead the tax function. The Senior Manager will report to the VP, Controller and work in partnership with other finance leaders and cross-functional senior leaders.Role involves:

• Managing tax compliance for the company and its Irish subsidiary.
• Assessing tax implications of business projects and leading relevant tax implementation strategies.
• Developing and driving near-term and long-term strategic tax efficiencies.
• Preparing, reviewing, and filing various tax returns.
• Managing the calculation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
• Supporting audits and liaising with external auditors.
• Preparing and reviewing tax disclosures for public filings.
• Managing the tax professional services budget.
• Providing tax guidance and ensuring new business initiatives are tax-compliant.
• Collaborating with Payroll and HR teams on HR/Equity related tax matters.
• Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of progressive tax experience.
• Public accounting tax experience or tax consulting experience is required.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting or taxation is required.
• CPA license is required; JD or other licenses are preferred.
• International tax experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• Detail-oriented self-starter.
• Effective communication skills.
