Job Description
Sagent is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead the development team for their Dara product. This role involves advancing the company's culture and practices, working with a global development team, and using modern technologies to develop enterprise business components for Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, problem-solver, and leader, capable of mentoring engineers and driving modernization initiatives.
Role Involves:
- Leading a global cross-functional engineering team.
- Owning technical design decisions and guiding teams through AGILE SDLC.
- Overseeing architectural design, coding standards, and DevOps integration.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align technology with business strategy.
- Leading Engineering teams in Increment and Sprint Planning.
- Ensuring platform security, compliance, scalability, and performance.
- Driving modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Mentoring senior engineers and fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 4+ years in technical leadership/management roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture and SaaS platforms (preferably AWS).
- Strong experience in the mortgage or financial services domain.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, React, SQL).
- Experience with API development and integrations with third-party platforms.
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards relevant to fintech/mortgage.
- Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
