Staff SW Engineer, Credit Rights

Job Description

Pismo is seeking a Staff SW Engineer for the Credit Rights Squad in Brazil. This role involves developing digital receivables products for financial institutions, utilizing Java and modern DevOps practices on AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Java.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Design and implement Terraform workflows.
• Drive technical decision-making and resolve technical debt.
• Uphold high standards of code quality and documentation.
• Enable teams to address non-functional requirements.
• Contribute to quarterly planning and mentor engineers.
• Promote cross-team collaboration and tackle complex technical problems.
• Stay updated with industry trends and evolve engineering strategy.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (B1 level).
• Experience in designing high-availability systems using Java.
• Expertise in streaming data architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Kinesis).
• Advanced proficiency in AWS services (SQS, SNS, EventBridge, S3, Step Functions, Lambda).
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
• Skilled in working with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Strong leadership in cross-team collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Committed to testing excellence.
• Proficient in managing infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
