Job Description

Truecaller is seeking a Director of Engineering Infrastructure to lead the teams responsible for the core technologies that power all of Truecaller's products and services. This role involves defining vision, driving execution, and ensuring operational excellence across Truecaller's global infrastructure. The Director will lead and mentor a talented group of infrastructure engineers, SREs, DevOps specialists, and data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.Truecaller is a leading global platform for caller ID and spam blocking, committed to making communication smarter and safer. • Defining and executing a long-term infrastructure strategy.
• Leading and mentoring multiple infrastructure engineering teams.
• Ensuring the Truecaller platform maintains the highest standards of availability, reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Overseeing the design, implementation, and management of Truecaller's cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Championing and advancing DevOps and SRE practices.
• Partnering with the security team to ensure infrastructure meets the highest security standards and compliance requirements.
• Managing the infrastructure budget and relationships with key technology vendors.
• Collaborating with product engineering, data, security, and other teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership/management role.
• Deep, hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, particularly GCP.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC tools.
• Experience with SRE best practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, databases, containerization, and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of managing and scaling infrastructure for high-traffic, distributed, global applications.
• Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
