Job Description
Axon is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to be based on-site at the Suffolk County Police Department in Yaphank, New York. This role is crucial in supporting the redaction process, managing digital evidence, and providing hardware and product support. The TAM will serve as an expert in using Axon’s products to ensure timely production of redacted evidence.

The TAM will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish efficient processes and address challenges, ensuring the technical quality of redactions and providing analytical insights from device data. This position requires a versatile individual focused on enhancing customer efficiency and confidence in their daily workflows.

Role Involves:
  • Providing tier 1 and 2 technical support to agency personnel.
  • Serving as a product specialist for Axon products.
  • Mastering Axon’s Redaction products and Evidence.com.
  • Interpreting policy and law governing redaction.
  • Producing weekly and quarterly analysis reporting.
  • Applying appropriate redactions and edits to footage.
  • Developing and improving technical documentation and job aids.
  • Managing customer expectations and maintaining customer confidence.
  • Communicating customer feedback to drive product development.
  • Troubleshooting and documenting daily issues.
  • Producing status and usage reports of assigned products.
  • Providing on-site assistance at individual precincts or commands.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of professional experience working with Major City or Enterprise-level customers.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships and technical projects.
  • Understanding of SAAS, Cloud providers/solutions, Virtualization, Storage is desired.
  • Ability to articulate at a technical level appropriate to the circumstance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with change and remain calm in high-stress situations.
  • Experience working and supporting law enforcement is desired.
  • Experience using Excel formulas to produce analytical charts.
  • Experience creating analytical reports and visual aids in Excel, Word and PowerPoint for senior level presentations.
  • Knowledge of routing and switching methodologies, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, and Internet technologies is desired.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, VMS, and IP cameras is desired.
  • Experience working closely with a sales and support team is desired.
  • Spanish speaking skills desirable.
  • Must be able to pass agency background check.
  • Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check and maintain confidential and highly sensitive information.
