Expert Database Administrator (SQL DBA, Azure)

Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking an Expert Database Administrator to manage and optimize its database systems. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of databases in Azure cloud environments. This role involves collaboration with data architects and developers to implement best practices and improve database designs.

• Standardization of SQL Artifacts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience as a senior DBA
• Willingness to work in shifts
• Proven experience managing cloud-based databases in Azure cloud environments
• Extensive knowledge of Azure cloud services (Networking, Security, Alerts and Monitoring)
• Proficiency in AlwaysOn, Distribute AG, Replication and Disaster Recovery
• Strong understanding of data governance and security practices
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience in the Healthcare domain is a plus
