Job Description
REACH Media Network, a Poppulo company, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead small teams of developers. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for team leadership and development, project delivery, technical oversight, strategic planning, and effective communication with company stakeholders. This role offers an excellent opportunity to drive the growth of a successful software company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor software engineers
- Collaborate with Product Manager, CTO, and other stakeholders
- Promote engineering best practices and conduct code reviews
- Foster a healthy development ethos
- Support recruiting efforts
- Track key engineering metrics
- Identify and communicate technical and organizational risks
Requirements:
- Experience with PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, WebSockets, and AMQP
- Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and Azure services
- Experience with serverless platforms
- Experience writing software for containerized environments
- Understanding of HTTP/S, TCP/IP, and general networking
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns
- 2+ years of engineering leadership experience
- 3+ years of hands-on software development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Agile processes
