Sourcing Consultant

Job Description

Harbor is seeking a Sourcing Consultant to join its Vendor Governance and Sourcing team. The consultant will work closely with project team members and client personnel, facilitating requirements gathering, researching best practices, leveraging internal intellectual property, and conducting data analysis to facilitate the implementation of cost savings and process improvement opportunities. This position can be 100% remote or work hybrid from our Chicago office headquarters.Role involves:

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a related Consulting, Strategic Sourcing, Project Management or Process Improvement role.
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience conducting financial analysis and research.
• Strong ability to collect, analyze, summarize, and organize data.
• Capacity to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to build trust as a dependable resource within the project team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel + high degree of comfort using other Microsoft products (Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Word).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain or Management Information Systems required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Live in or be willing to relocate to Chicago immediately.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization.
