Associate Data Analyst

Job Description

Rimes is seeking an Associate Data Analyst to join their Cyprus-based team. Rimes provides enterprise data management solutions to the global investment community, empowering clients with investment intelligence that drives over US$75 trillion in assets under management annually.

As a Data Analyst at Rimes, the candidate will leverage problem-solving skills to investigate intricate issues related to financial data sources across diverse financial asset types. The candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining Rimes’ commitment to data quality.

What this role involves:

• Maintaining and supporting the suite of Rimes products and services
• Collaborating with data developers and performance analysts on optimizing data quality and the efficiency of data infrastructures
• Responding to data questions coming in from clients and from client-facing teams within Rimes
• Coordinating with data suppliers about calculation methodologies and data anomalies

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Science, Engineering, or a Mathematics-related field
• Results-driven and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Flexible and efficient at multitasking across various assignments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize effectively
• Interested in technology while recognizing the importance of process and structure
• Attentive to detail with a demonstrated ability to think creatively
• A confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of financial markets and financial data (useful)
• Previous work experience in the financial industry (useful)
• Python/Perl experience (useful)
• Knowledge of SQL (useful)
