Job Description
Wellhub is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Gen AI team in Brazil. This role involves organizing and leveraging digital information about existing and potential partners to enhance both partner and user experiences. The Senior Data Engineer will be instrumental in processing, analyzing, and utilizing data to improve partner content, user recommendations, business insights, and overall platform quality.
The ideal candidate will use data and software engineering principles to solve large-scale production challenges within Wellhub's cloud-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining data models and structures for efficient querying and analysis.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines to transform and process large data volumes.
- Implementing automated data quality checks to ensure data consistency.
- Inspiring and empowering others by caring for wellbeing and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Experience creating robust and scalable data models from business requirements.
- Experience collecting, preparing, and analyzing complex business data.
- Ability to engage engineering and product teams to elicit requirements and present solutions.
- Knowledge of data pipeline tools and technologies (e.g., Airflow, EMR, Kafka).
- Ability to collaborate with different teams to understand data needs and develop effective data pipelines.
- Comfortable understanding big data concepts to ingest, process and make data available for data scientists, business analysts and product teams.
- Comfortable maintaining data consistency across the entire data ecosystem.
