Job Description
KAYAK, a leading travel search engine and part of Booking Holdings, is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team in either Kaunas or Vilnius. The successful candidate will contribute to building new features and products for KAYAK's affiliates, maintaining and enhancing existing APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role involves supporting existing affiliate integrations, monitoring KPIs, and identifying and resolving recurring issues.
The Full Stack Software Engineer will be expected to work from the office three days a week.
Role Involves:
- Building new features and products for affiliates
- Maintaining and enhancing existing APIs
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Supporting existing affiliate integrations
- Following KPIs and participating in data-driven decision making
- Locating and eliminating sources of recurring issues
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Web Development
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with JAVA (or other JVM-based languages), Spring, and MySQL
- Good knowledge of TypeScript, React, Redux, and CSS (Sass or Less)
- Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of software design principles
- Strong knowledge of OOP patterns and API design
- Experience writing unit and E2E tests
- Openness to technical improvements across all layers (UI, backend, SQL, Elastic, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Fluent English communication skills
- Skills to debug effectively in a full-stack environment
