Job Description
KAYAK, a leading travel search engine, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team in Kaunas or Vilnius. The candidate will contribute to building the best travel search engine. They will be part of a travel company that operates a portfolio of global metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights and HotelsCombined, among others. This role involves building new features, maintaining APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting affiliate integrations. The candidate will also be involved in data-driven decision-making and resolving recurring issues. They expect to meet at the office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
  • Build new features and products for our affiliates
  • Maintain and enhance existing APIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Support existing affiliate integrations
  • Follow KPIs (revenue, sessions, etc.) and be part of the data driven decision making process
  • Locate and eliminate sources of recurring issues
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Web Development
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with JAVA (or other JVM-based languages), Spring, MySQL
  • Good knowledge of TypeScript, React, Redux, CSS (Sass or Less)
  • Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of software design principles
  • Strong knowledge of OOP patterns and API design
  • Experience writing unit and E2E tests
  • Openness to technical improvements across all layers (UI, backend, SQL, Elastic, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Skills to debug effectively in a full-stack environment
