Google DeepMind is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their Foundational Research team in Mountain View, California. This role is pivotal in accelerating AI research velocity by partnering with research leads to shape and drive complex programs. The Technical Program Manager will translate research goals into actionable plans, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and turn promising ideas into impactful initiatives aligned with Google DeepMind's objectives.
The role involves:
- Co-developing program strategies with AI Research Leads.
- Guiding research programs and influencing technical decision-making.
- Leading the planning and execution of strategic research programs.
- Monitoring program performance and managing risks.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management.
- Experience partnering with research or engineering leads.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of program management methodologies.
- Excellent technical communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective cross-functional teams.
- A strong curiosity and capacity to quickly learn about new AI/machine learning concepts.
