Ping Identity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to enhance the PingOne End-User experience. The successful candidate will serve as both an Individual Contributor and a tech lead within an Agile software development team. They will advocate for the team's needs, ensure adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and guide the team to deliver high-quality results on time.
The Staff Software Engineer will make technical decisions on behalf of the team and facilitate communication with key stakeholders. This role reports to the PingOne Admin Experience Manager.
Role Involves:
Playing the role of an Individual Contributor as well as a tech lead in the team.
Ensuring that the team follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
Leading the architecture designs for the team initiatives.
Collaborating with product managers and UX designers in clarifying initiatives’ requirements and mock designs.
Facilitating communication with other engineering teams to address dependencies and resolve blockers affecting the teams' initiatives.
Requirements:
At least 8 years of experience as a backend SDE.
At least 3 years of experience in developing SaaS applications.
Proficient in developing with Java FW.
Extensive experience in developing test automation, including unit tests, and integration tests
Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
Vast experience in utilizing DevOps practices as part of the development process.
Understanding of DevOps principles to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes, and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
Experience with analysing product requirements and designing software architecture.
Experience with coaching and mentoring lower-level software engineers.
