eyeo is seeking a Principal Backend Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance microservices and APIs to power mobile applications, browser extensions, and websites. This role involves driving end-to-end solutions by aligning efforts across multiple client teams, ensuring the security and robustness of applications, and establishing monitoring frameworks to optimize performance.He/She will collaborate with engineers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and cross-functional leaders to drive strategic alignment on product goals. The Principal Backend Developer will also guide senior developers, drive code review processes, and stay updated with emerging technologies.
Responsibilities: - Design and develop scalable, high-performance microservices and APIs.
- Drive end-to-end solutions by aligning and integrating efforts across multiple client teams.
- Ensure the security and robustness of applications.
- Establish monitoring frameworks and drive performance optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic alignment on product goals.
- Guide senior developers and drive high-impact code review processes.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and cloud innovations.
Requirements: - 10+ years of professional development experience.
- Proven track record of designing and building scalable services and APIs.
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Knowledge of frontend clients, frameworks, and their needs.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with secure development practices and secure coding principles.
- Strong understanding of schema design, database systems (SQL and NoSQL), caching strategies, and web protocols.
- Ability to debug complex issues, optimize performance, and deliver robust solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
