Job Description
The Observability Team Lead role at Betsson involves overseeing a team focused on monitoring tools and ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance. The candidate will provide technical guidance, manage team operations, and align team objectives with organizational goals. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Role Involves:
- Ensuring GitOps practices are followed.
- Supporting the transition from on-premise to cloud-native workloads.
- Resource planning and workload allocation.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team.
- Introducing automation to increase velocity.
- Managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians.
- Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders.
- Implementing and reviewing the Observability strategy.
- Identifying and prioritizing key monitoring metrics and KPIs.
- Evaluating, implementing, and maintaining monitoring tools and solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- AWS Cloud practitioner or equivalent beneficial.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, and Ansible.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers and technicians.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of monitoring pillars such as Logs, Metrics, and Tracing.
- Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL and DevOps principles.
