Job Description
Postman is seeking a Staff Engineer to contribute to the next generation of their Monetization Platform. This role is based in San Francisco, California. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for setting the vision for the long-term architecture of the Monetization Platform, being accountable for strategy, technical roadmap, and architecture. They will work with multiple teams within Monetization Engineering, overseeing and contributing to delivery, and owning critical KPIs such as availability and uptime.
The role involves:
- Providing technical leadership for architecture.
- Building secure, scalable, reliable, and performant systems.
- Identifying dependencies and reviewing key designs.
- Delivering on multiple projects in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Building an operational center of excellence.
- Partnering with Sr. EMs and product leaders.
- Mentoring senior engineers.
Requirements include:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong experience with industry standards in ecommerce and payments.
- 10+ years of hands-on coding experience.
- 10+ years of experience building end-to-end back-end services.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving, design, and analytical skills.
- Experience designing highly scalable systems.
