Amplitude is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Activation to join their team in Vancouver, BC. The Activation team is focused on building an insights-driven activation platform that empowers businesses to unlock customer insights and make faster, smarter decisions. The engineer will tackle challenging infrastructure problems, collaborate with Product and Customers, and shape the strategy for platform capabilities and new product features.
Role involves:
Collaborating with Product and Design to turn ideas into working features
Building backend services that integrate with data warehouses and cloud platforms
Optimizing the performance and scalability of data import/export infrastructure
Leading engineering discussions and setting the bar for technical excellence
Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their growth
Defining and driving the architectural vision for the product
Requirements:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Willingness to dive into new code bases, languages, and frameworks
Enjoy working with customers and partners
Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
6+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role
Experience with Python or Java is a plus
Experience in distributed systems, data processing, and analytics is a plus
Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines is a plus
Technical leadership experience is a plus
