Job Description
Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager (Team Lead) for Authentication & Tokenization to join their team in Bengaluru. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a powerful suite of solutions that helps merchants maximize conversion, control fraud, and reduce costs across the payment journey.

Role involves:
  • Working cross-functionally with design, product, data engineers, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Contributing to code, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Designing and developing scalable solutions.
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to the team.
  • Motivating team members and providing coaching in engineering best practices and scalable architecture design.
  • Maintaining an inclusive team culture focused on autonomy, ownership, collaboration, communication, and impact.
  • Collaborating with different teams to design and implement new services.
  • Setting clear individual and team goals.
  • Creating an inspiring and collaborative team environment.
  • Recruiting new team members.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in managing engineering teams within a Java environment.
  • 7+ years of experience in the software development industry in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Experience with Core Java, Distributed systems, Web services, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in defining, implementing, and monitoring performance KPIs.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring engineering talent.
  • Experience in leading technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with collaborating with senior leadership to set strategic direction.
  • Excellent communication and team player skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
