Job Description

EBANX, a global fintech company, is seeking a Mid-Level Data Reliability Engineer to join its Data Platform Engineering team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and availability of data within large-scale systems. The Data Reliability Engineer will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts Engineers, and Software Engineering teams to support business decisions through reliable data delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the quality, reliability, and availability of data in large-scale systems.
  • Developing and maintaining robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines.
  • Implementing and improving monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues in real time.
  • Building and maintaining backup, recovery, and automation solutions to enhance data reliability.
  • Investigating and resolving data quality issues, such as inconsistencies and duplicates.
  • Collaborating with teams from different departments, including Engineering, Data Science, and Operations, to ensure efficient use of data.
  • Defining and monitoring data reliability metrics, like SLAs and SLOs, to maintain high standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience with developing data pipelines or automating data-related tasks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., BigQuery, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
  • Practical experience with data services in at least one Cloud platform: AWS or GCP.
  • Familiarity with data quality concepts.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
