Software Engineer, Robot Software Platform

Job Description

Wayve is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Robot Software team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of software for edge devices, enabling data and autonomy on a large fleet of vehicles. This role involves collaborating with the Embodied AI and Science organizations to ensure they have the necessary data and interfaces for training models and improving driving performance.Responsibilities include:

• Building software for sensor integration and data capture.
• Delivering and maintaining real-time Linux-based applications.
• Creating fault-tolerant software solutions with system diagnostics.
• Designing and implementing system monitoring tools.

Wayve is looking for someone with:

• Proficiency in C++ and/or Rust for embedded Linux systems.
• Knowledge of distributed systems.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux and user space applications.
• Understanding of IPC middleware.
