Job Description
Fortra is seeking a Manager of Web Development to lead a team in building and securing digital web properties. The ideal candidate will balance technical expertise, leadership, and secure web development knowledge. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure web experiences that align with Fortra's brand and cybersecurity principles.

What This Role Involves:
  • Leading and managing a team of web developers and designers.
  • Overseeing the architecture and maintenance of Fortra's websites and web applications.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, marketing, and security teams.
  • Ensuring all web applications follow modern security standards.
  • Defining and enforcing coding standards and documentation procedures.
  • Leading sprint planning, code reviews, and agile development cycles.
  • Implementing performance monitoring and conducting regular audits.
  • Staying current on emerging web technologies and security protocols.
  • Partnering with DevOps and Security teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in web development, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Drupal, WordPress, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, HTTPS, CSP, and XSS prevention.
  • Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Python, PHP) and RESTful API integration.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in cybersecurity environments is a plus.
