Senior Director, Manufacturing Operations

Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of new manufacturing sites. This role is crucial for driving speed, quality, and scalability across Axon’s global production footprint. The Senior Director will report to the SVP of Global Manufacturing Operations and will be based onsite at one of Axon's facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, with up to 50% travel required.This role involves:

• Leading Manufacturing Expansion Strategy
• Driving end-to-end technical execution of new site launches
• Spearheading site identification, evaluation, and build-out
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Overseeing all aspects of site ramp-up
• Establishing KPIs for startup efficiency
• Integrating Acquisitions

Axon requires:

• 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
• Proven success in launching new high-tech or electromechanical manufacturing facilities at scale
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies
• Working knowledge of finance, accounting, supply chain, logistics, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international sites
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
