Senior QA Engineer

Job Description

Veeam, the leading provider of data resilience solutions, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their team in Prague. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of Veeam's complex software through end-to-end testing in near-real environments. The Senior QA Engineer will collaborate with analysts, developers, and other QA engineers to create test plans, develop automated test frameworks, and analyze test results.Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive test plans covering critical user journeys.
• Identify and prioritize workflows and create test scenarios based on business impact.
• Set up and maintain test environments that are close to production circumstances.
• Develop robust and maintainable automated test frameworks and write test scripts.
• Run end-to-end test suites, monitor test execution, and investigate and document defects.
• Communicate test results and participate in prioritizing issues.
• Verify issue resolution and measure overall quality.
• Refine test suites based on application changes and improve test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience with Web UI testing and Selenium API.
• Understanding and testing of REST, SOAP, Swagger, and Postman.
• Knowledge of networking, including HTTP/HTTPS, request/response cycles, and status codes.
• Knowledge of acceptance tests scenario automation, BDD, and Cucumber.
• Technical and programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL.
• Experience with Git and Jenkins.
• Experience with reporting and monitoring tools like ReportPortal, ELK Stack, and Grafana.
• Experience with automation test frameworks like TestNG and Junit.
• Experience with Salesforce and MuleSoft is a strong advantage.
• Ability to design thorough test cases and identify edge cases.
• Understanding of how various components interact in complex systems.
• Root cause analysis and debugging skills.
• Degree in computer science, information systems, or a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer.
• English proficiency level B2 (Upper Intermediate).
