Data Platform team lead at Bluevine - Israel

Bluevine is seeking a Data Platform Team Lead to drive the development of its next-generation business financing products. Bluevine is transforming small business banking with innovative solutions like checking, lending, and credit tailored to help entrepreneurs thrive.

The role involves leading the development and evolution of Bluevine’s data platform, ensuring its availability, reliability, and scalability. The candidate will collaborate with infrastructure, data science, and backend teams to define and meet project requirements.

This position is based in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel.

What this role Involves:

• Leading the development and evolution of Bluevine’s data platform.
• Collaborating closely with infrastructure, data science, and backend teams.
• Ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of data infrastructure.
• Providing technical mentorship and coaching to team members.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading a development team and managing projects.
• 7+ years of programming experience with a strong understanding of software development best practices.
• Experience in building streaming and batch data processing pipelines.
• Expertise in various data storage solutions, including RDBMS, columnar data stores, and data lakes.
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Debezium, Kafka, Flink).
• Familiarity with data lakes and related technologies (e.g., Iceberg, Redshift, Presto/Athena, Spark).
• Experience working in an AWS environment with services such as RDS, MSK, Neptune DB, ECS, SageMaker, Glue, and Lake Formation.
• Deep experience with Python.
