This role involves leading the development and scalability of Bluevine's core infrastructure, making it ideal for an experienced Python engineer with expertise in backend architecture, infrastructure automation, and production environments, combined with strong leadership and project management skills.

What this role involves:

• Leading the development and optimization of backend infrastructure.
• Collaborating with backend, DevOps, and data teams to design and implement robust infrastructure solutions.
• Driving best practices in code quality, automation, observability, and deployment strategies.
• Mentoring and coaching team members.
• Ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.

What Bluevine is looking for:

• Proven experience leading a team of developers and managing technical projects.
• 7+ years of Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and cloud-native environments.
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of performance tuning, observability, and distributed systems.
