Product Owner - Remote

Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking a Product Owner to serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and business analysts working with the development team. This role is crucial for defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and managing the feature backlog to align with the product vision and business objectives.

The Product Owner will prioritize tasks, monitor progress, and assist in micro-decisions daily. This is a remote position based in the US.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the product backlog to ensure readiness and priority.
• Working closely with the business analyst and development team.
• Creating Epic level work items with detailed Acceptance criteria.
• Writing high-level business requirements.
• Driving backlog refinement and incorporating stakeholder feedback.
• Monitoring product performance and ensuring the product meets business goals.
• Identifying potential risks and creating contingency plans.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of relevant work experience.
• 1-3 years of Product Owner/Management experience.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience working in small, highly focused teams.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Agile methodologies experience.
• Deep understanding of customer needs and business goals.
