Job Description
The Medical Assistant Educator role at a dermatology practice in Beverly, MA, focuses on training new and existing medical assistants. The educator ensures adherence to clinical and administrative protocols set by local dermatology physicians. This role develops proficiency in patient rooming, medical history documentation, and accurate recording of visit details. The Medical Assistant Educator provides hands-on instruction in dermatological procedures, such as biopsies, surgical interventions, and skin treatments, to maintain the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Role Involves:
- Developing and delivering medical assistant training programs.
- Providing hands-on instruction in clinical procedures and administrative tasks.
- Assessing student performance through skills evaluations and practical assessments.
- Performing suture removal, wound care, and providing post-procedure instructions.
- Ensuring compliance with sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in ModMed EMR
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to multiple facilities within a designated area as needed.
