Global Indirect Tax Lead

Monzo is seeking a Global Indirect Tax Lead to join their Tax Team, reporting to the Head of Tax. This role involves owning all UK, EU, and US indirect tax compliance and advisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic, supporting the wider Finance team.

The Global Indirect Tax Lead will play a crucial role in managing VAT and other indirect tax compliance and reporting processes, designing new processes for international expansion, and providing indirect tax advice on new contracts, products, operating models, and country expansions. They will also be responsible for designing and owning the Group’s indirect tax strategy and staying updated on changes in indirect tax rules and practices.

Role Involves:

• Owning VAT and indirect tax compliance and reporting.
• Assisting with indirect tax advice.
• Designing and owning the Group’s indirect tax strategy.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant and/or qualified tax advisor.
• Significant experience in VAT, ideally in FinTech or Financial Services.
• Experienced people manager.
• Energetic and hands-on approach.
