Job Description
Recursion is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and deploy applications in a containerized environment. This role is crucial for the IT team, focusing on the full lifecycle management of infrastructure components. The engineer will ensure systems are robust, scalable, and secure, supporting Recursion's growth in the TechBio space.
Role involves:
- Designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure using IaC.
- Deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications using Kubernetes, specifically GKE.
- Automating operational tasks related to infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
- Implementing and managing monitoring and alerting for infrastructure and applications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure and application issues.
- Collaborating with development and application teams for seamless application integration.
- Designing and managing integrations between enterprise applications and infrastructure.
- Implementing and managing security configurations and ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Exploring AI and ML capabilities to enhance automation and improve infrastructure management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes, specifically GKE.
- Experience with deploying and managing applications in containerized environments.
- Experience with the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of POSIT Workbench, Connect, and Packages.
- Proficiency in managing R packages and environments.
- Experience with user access management and implementing role-based access control (RBAC).
- Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and Computer System Validation (CSV) processes.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong understanding of application integration, APIs, and integration tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
